Salary $24 – $30 per hour DOQ - Negotiable Deadline January 25, 2021 - 4 p.m.
General Duties The City Treasurer operates the Financial Department as part of the City’s management team, working with the City Manager and department heads. Staff liaison to the City’s Budget Committee. Responsibilities include bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, general ledger transactions, accounting and bank reconciliation. Prepare the annual budget and audit.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; five years financial accounting experience; three years of general municipal oversight of finance operations. Master’s degree and CPA certification are desired but not required. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. Strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, and presentation skills are required.
