PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES/EARLY OUTS
During the 2020-2021 school year, the school board has supported
the use of early release time for twelve days. On these designated days, the students of the district will release from school one hour early. For example, K-6 students get out of school at 2:20 on a normal day. On our early release dates, K-6 students will get out of school at 1:20. HHS students would be released at 1:30. The busses will run normal routes with time being adjusted accordingly. It is very important that you make accommodations for your student on these specific days, as staff will be involved in meetings once students are dismissed.
The following dates are targeted for the PLC early releases.
September 23, October 7 & 21, November 18, December 2, January 20, February 3 & 17, March 10 & 24, April 21, May 5.
On these early release days, staff will be working in Professional Learning Communities. A PLC is defined as: a deliberate collaborative group that meets regularly to examine instructional practices to improve student outcomes. We will be working on our shared goals:
- With a collaborative team approach. - Utilizing collective inquiry. - Through action orientation and experimentation of practices. - All focused on a commitment to continuous improvement.
Thank you in advance for your support in helping us make continuous improvements to our delivery of education for the children in the district.

These entrances limit access to our buildings to one secured access point during school hours. These entrances are located at DOOR 1 for each of the elementary schools and DOOR 12 for the High School and District Offices. When visiting these locations during school hours, visitors will be required to be buzzed in by district staff and sign-in. Thank you for your cooperation.
