As the Manager of the Maintenance Department you will hire, train, and supervise unionized employees who maintain, set-up, rebuild, and repair a wide variety of production and processing machines and equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring activities in production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes maintenance schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials. Provides direction to employees per established policies and management guidance. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a food processing environment and will have a working knowledge of refrigeration, pneumatics and packaging equipment. Knowledge of GMPs and previous experience in the food industry is strongly preferred. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills essential.
